Info About The Newest Bond Movie – “Spectre”

The most expected and commented announce of yesteday was the title of the next Bond movie. On behalf of EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer и Sony Pictures Entertainment Mam Mendes himself demonstrated the power of the saying “show-me-don’t-tell-me” – ta-da-da-dam – „Spectre”.

For the uniformed (and the ones not paying attention to details) we are going to remind, that this is spy’s organization name, which makes its first appearance in the novel “Thunderball” (1961) and in the movie “Dr No” (1962). Actually SPECTRE stands for – Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion – and for the time being we can only speculate to what extend the above mentioned service will take place (again) in the movie.

We already mentioned some suspicions, that Christoph Waltz’s hero – Franz Oberhauser may turn out to be the head of Spectre – Stavro Blofeld, but that will become clear in about 11 months or so…

As the masses are aware, “Spectre”‘s crew is currently in active rehearsal stage, because the shooting begins Monday and will continue for the next seven months. The director himself (Sam Mendes) announced the locations – the Painwood studios in UK, London, Rome, Mexico city, Tangier and Erfoud Morocco and in the Austrian Alps again. Producers are Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson once again.

Reagarding the actors crew there are not many surprises – the veterans Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes are back as Q, Moneypenny and M, and the new recruits Rory Kinnear playing Tanner, Andrew Scott as Denbigh (he is on the MI6 team but there seems to be a potential to turn into villain judging from his Moriarty’s performance in “Sherlock”…) Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, the irrev.. irresistable Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann (and if she turns out to be “femme fatale”, then Bellucci could be the new “Bond’s girl” and Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser as we mentioned above. Of course the leading role of 007 since 2006 to this day is played by the remarkably stellar (in his role or not) Daniel Craig.

Along with the actors, Mendes told the press about the most important members of his team, who are back in the crew and will work with him, as he emphasized on the script-directing trio John Logan Neal Purvis Robert Wade and two new additions – editor Lee Smith and cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema (“Her”, “Interstellar”, “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”).

Here it is the simple, yet completely clear annotation, which “officially” presents „Spectre”: “Following a secret message from his past, Bond sets out to investigate Spectre, a troubling and secret organization hidden behind lies and betrayal. Meanwhile, the new M has to try and make sure there’s a role for the secret service in the current political climate.”

Beside revealing the title, plot details and actors presentation, the most curious moment of the presser was the appearance of the new Aston Martin DB10 – a silver gem, built like a bullet, a classy silhouette – amazing dream car.
