PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AKA Xportmedia to release first indie adventure game
Who is AKA Xportmedia?
Paul Davies began Xportmedia over three years ago providing freelance motion media design to the North West. Having worked closely with Channel M he recently found himself seeking new employment after the channel ceased all new productions in March of this year. Spurred on by the growing development of the games industry in the North West, Paul began work on his first PC adventure title 'Night Train' the first in a series called 'The Things That Haunt Us'.
'Night Train'
To mark the production of AKA Xportmedia's 'Night Train' a brand new website and demo is to be released to the public on the 11th of June this year. The demo will feature part of the games opening scenes and some of the many puzzles within.
“With the competition being so strong within the North West's media industry I decided to take a proactive approach. Having seen the indie game industry flourish with titles such as 'Flower' and 'Trine' I knew that this was the optimum time to become part of the growing number of indie developers. With 'Night Train' I hope to bring gaming back to a wider audience. Titles such as 'Myst' and 'The Path' opened up gaming to Women and older players, this is a market that I am keen to explore and develop for.”
Comments on the game so far:
“The overall presentation is outstanding in my opinion.” Agustín Cordes – Author of the PC Game 'Scratches'
“Beautiful - love it!”, “The atmosphere is eerie.” Adventure Gamers Forum
